The Coastal Oceanography Group at the Bodega Marine Laboratory, in collaboration with the Innovation Center at Folsom Lake College, has deployed a Sofar wave buoy in Richardson Bay.
Real-time observations include:
- Sea surface temperature
- Wind speed and direction
- Wave height, direction and period
The buoy has been deployed in the southern boundary of the Richardson Bay Audubon Center & Sanctuary (RBAC), and will be deployed seasonally during March 2023–April/May 2024.
